Obituary for “Marty” Edward Martinez Print Edward “Marty” Martinez, of Yukon, passed away February 2, 2019, at the age of 71. He was born in Crookston, MN on April 16, 1947 to Master Sergeant Nabor and Frances (Brewer) Martinez. Marty graduated from Manzano High School (Albuquerque, NM) in 1965.

He was a Vietnam veteran and served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he graduated from Central State University (Edmond, OK) in 1977 and worked at Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement in 2002. Marty is preceded in death by his parents and wife Gwenda (Prince) Martinez.

Marty is survived by his wife of 30 years Linda (Hunt-Northcutt) Martinez, daughter Michelle Martinez, son Michael Northcutt and daughter-in-law Kristine Northcutt, grandchildren Peyton, Spencer and Simon, sister Kay Samaripa, dogs Caesar and Ladybug, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marty loved traveling, fishing, and most of all his family. He never met a stranger.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Services will be held Wednesday February 6, 2019 at 10:00 am at Smith and Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK. Marty will be laid to rest at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
