Lilia Ines Unda, 91, of Waukegan, passed away at home on January 21, 2019. Lilia was born in Ecuador to Rafael and Angelita Unda. She came to Waukegan along with many Ecuadorian natives and remained a lifelong area resident since.

Lilia is survived by her three daughters, Patricia, Lucia, and Ruth; 6 grandchildren Vanessa, Ricardo, Hector Jr., Joshua, Johnny, Natalie; and 7 great grandchildren. Lilia was a nurturing mother, who loved her family dearly. She was the monarch of the family, always made sure everyone was taken care of and always praying for those in need.

She loved watching her novelas, drinking café con pan and knitting clothes for her family. She will be dearly missed. Lilia’s visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington St. Waukegan, IL 60085.

A second visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085 with funeral mass beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at North Shore Garden of Memories, 1801 Greenbay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. For more information please call, (847) 623-3730.
