Obituary for Lillian Lorraine Starkman Lillian Lorraine (Klem) Starkman, was born March 26, 1930 and passed away on July 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Sr. and Lillian (Green) Klem; and siblings Joseph Jr., William, Donald, Richard, and Ruth (Wagner). Lillian was raised in Waukegan by her foster parents Arthur and Katherine (Beckman) Nauta and foster siblings Madeline (Hamlin), Agnes (Sr.

Mary Bernadine, PCJ), Katherine (Beemsterboer) and Arthur. All are deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Starkman in 1982.

Lillian retired from Great Lakes Naval Hospital after working many years in the Obstetrics clinic. She was a deeply religious woman and her favorite pastimes included reading religious books and watching EWTN. Her visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Anastasia Catholic Church 624 Douglas Ave.

in Waukegan with funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery. Donations to St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Lillian’s name would be appreciated.
