Lillian Marie Wurst, age 95, of Petoskey, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Mallard Cove Assisted Living in Petoskey. She was born September 16, 1923, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl Rose. Lillian attended Petoskey Public Schools and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1941.

Lillian was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church and served as Financial Secretary and member of the Chancel Choir. Lillian was a member of the Petoskey Business & Professional Women’s Club and the Petoskey Pinochle Club. She served as Ambassador of the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and was employed at Colwell-Wangeman Construction as office manager for over 40 years.

Survivors include her sister, Virginia Joyce Jones; grandchildren, Randall (Debbie) Wurst and Richard (Beth) Wurst; great-grandchildren, Jade Wurst, Shelby Wurst, Haley Wurst, Sydney Wurst and Austin Wurst; and several nieces and nephews. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Ernest Floyd Wurst, Gerald Eugene Wurst, and Donald Lee Wurst; and her sister, June Rose Long. Services are pending and will be announced shortly.
