Our beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda Hawkins returned home peacefully to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Linda was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 8, 1944 to Hoyt and Adell Hay and later joined by her younger sister, Ruth. Linda had a wonderful childhood growing up with her sister and best friend in Medford, Oregon.

She was a graduate of Medford Senior High School and attended Brigham Young University for two years before she met the love of her life. Clint and Linda met at a church dance in San Francisco, California and were married five months later on December 12, 1966 in the Salt Lake City Temple by Elder Harold B. Lee. Clint and Linda started their family in Portland, Oregon then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, San Jose, California, Mesa, Arizona, and then Provo, Utah.

She made life-long friends along the way. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, some of which were in the Primary and the Relief Society. She and Clint also enjoyed serving together as the Stake Young Adult Advisors.

Her favorite calling was always the ward music leader. Her life was spent in service to her family, neighbors, church and in the pursuit of chocolate. Linda is survived by her sister, Ruth, her husband, Clint Frank Hawkins III, and her six children, Clint IV and his wife Lorette and nine children of Queen Creek, Arizona; Chyrisse and her husband Kenneth and their five children of Hurricane, Utah; Aaron and his wife Amelia and nine children of Independence, Missouri; Andrea Cook of Utah; Devin and his wife Michelle and their five children of Mesa, Arizona; and Jared and his wife Rebekah and their two children of Santaquin, Utah.

She is also survived by two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Adell and granddaughter Mattea Marie Hawkins. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Provo Peak 10th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, 1456 East 300 North in Provo.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 -10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road (1700 West), Bluffdale, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
