Linda C. Heatwole, 77, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Charlottesville. Linda was born on April 19, 1941 in Staunton to the late Carl J. Curry and the late V. Christine Garrett Curry. Linda graduated from WMHS in the class of ‘58.

She received her RN Degree from Rockingham Memorial Nursing School and a BS Degree from Madison College. She was employed as a RN at MCV, Ship HOPE, Cartagena, Columbia, volunteer Service in Algeria, KDH, UVA and Augusta Health until retirement. Growing up her mother taught the twins to wear a hat and gloves to church.

She gave up the gloves but continued wearing a stylish hat each Sunday. Linda is survived by her husband, Stanley E. Heatwole; daughter, Malika R. Heatwole; son, David L. Heatwole; twin sister, Brenda C. Holliday; siblings, Ruth Prevette, Alec Thomson and a grandson, Cody Bowen. The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00pm, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2001 N. Coalter Street, Staunton, VA 24401 and where a memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018.
