OBITUARY Linda Green Shaw May 15, 1948 – September 3, 2018 Born on May 15, 1948 in Houston, Texas, Linda Green Shaw entered her place of rest on September 3, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Her gentle nature made her a great friend. She would listen for hours to a friend who needed someone to hear their voice.

She was guilty of giving to others what she did not have herself. “Aunt Dit” was witty, intelligent and beautiful. She will be remembered for being a voice for others; she was very involved in the union at Western Electric and late became a nurse.

She loved politics, as it was another avenue for her to be a mouthpiece for others. She called directly to the White House and actually got a response regarding a local issue! In the end, “Ya Ya” lived for her two grandchildren, Jackson and Wyatt.

We all choose different paths and we should not judge, but unfortunately, we do, but she lived her life her way. God Bless her soul, we love you and will miss you. She is preceded in death by her birth father, Charles B. Green and her father, Jack C. Ferguson and stepmother, Emily Ferguson.

She is survived by her children, Michael Bryant and wife Cheyl, Jeremy Shaw and Stacy Bradford and husband Mathew; grandchildren, Jackson Bradford, Wyatt Shaw and Cora Pitts; mother, Margaret Singleton; sisters, Lou Trosclair and husband Angelo and Janet Brasher and husband Richard; half-brother, Jimmy Green; nieces and nephews, Ashlea, Christopher (Krystal) and Alexandra and extended family Mark Montgomery and Steve Montgomery and their families and many more nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. A private memorial will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in honor of her great nephew, Easton Snyder.
