Obituary for Linda Hoydal Linda Hoydal, 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to the late Andrew and Borghild Miller and settled in Staten Island (Annadale) in the early 1980’s. Linda received her Bachelor’s Degree from Pace University and worked as a Vice President for U.S. Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1998.

She was a devoted caretaker for her children and her mother. Some of her hobbies included tending to her beautiful flower garden and sewing. Above all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who truly cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren who she adored, She was the beloved wife to the late Otto who passed away in July of 2018.

Loving mother to Lise Galestro and Andrew Hoydal. Devoted grandmother to Owen Galestro and Tor and Alek Hoydal. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018, at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd.

(at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.
