Obituary for Linda Kittler Linda Polk Kittler, 75, of Pine Bluff passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. She was born December 12, 1942 in Monticello to the late Leonard Polk and Helen Strickland Polk. Linda was reared and received her education in Monticello.

She was a 1960 graduate of Monticello High School and went on to receive two master’s degrees in education from the University of Arkansas. She spent many years teaching at Pine Bluff High School before becoming the Director of Adult Education at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff. Mrs. Kittler was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, where she served in the choir, as a Sunday School teacher and on many committees.

She was also active in many civic and professional organizations, including Delta Kappa Gamma, Phi Delta Kappa, Home Builders Women’s Auxillary to mention a few. She enjoyed water skiing, square dancing, and bargain shopping. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, Billy Don “Donny” Kittler in 1996.

She is survived by her loving husband, Billy Kittler, whom she married in 1961; daughter, Crystal Spellmann (Paul) of Conway; grandchildren, Joshua Spellmann (Chloe) of Killeen, Texas, Sarah Elizabeth Spellmann of Little Rock, and Gabrielle Ellen Spellmann of Diamond Head, Mississippi; sister, Carol Martindale of Memphis, Tennessee; brother, Bill Polk (Beth) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-mother, Eva Polk of Monticello; niece, Renee’ Kittler, with whom she shared a very special relationship; numerous other nieces, nephews and close friends. Services will take place 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at First Baptist Church Pine Bluff, with Reverend Ken Thornton and Reverend Gordon Topping officiating. Visitation begins one hour prior.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Choir, 6501 S. Hazel, Pine, Bluff, AR , 71603, the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, New York 10017, or to the organization of choice.
