LINDA MARIE LEE March 06, 1959 – January 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Linda Marie McDonald Lee departed this life peacefully with her family by her side, Monday January 14, 2019, after a 5-month battle with cancer. Linda entered this life through the marital union of Gertie Mae “Honey” Jones and Franklin Roosevelt “Frank” McDonald on March 6, 1959 in Natchez, Mississippi. She was later raised in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana where she attended and graduated L.W. Higgins High.

She then went on to receive her cosmetology license from Stevenson Academy of Hair Design. In addition to being a hairstylist, Linda also worked for New Orleans Housing Authority where she was employed for over 20 years. Linda loved to travel, spend time with family, and attend concerts.

She was known for her big smile, funny jokes, and being the life of the party. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Lee Jr., parents Gertie Mae “Honey” Jones-Mitchell, Harry “Chowee” Mitchell and Frank McDonald, brothers Jessie Frank McDonald Sr., Michael Rieux, and sister-in-law Sabrina Ann Batiste-McDonald. She is survived by her three sons Charlie, Wardell, and Julius Lee; daughter, Chrystal “Chrissy” Lee; eight grandchildren, Deja, Selena, Ashton, Sabrina, Wardell Jr., Tyrese, Zy’Rell and Zyanna; sisters Darlene and Lisa Jury (Atlanta, Ga.

), Ruby Lee Jones (Mableton, Ga. ), Kim and Joy Rieux and Deone Boyd (New Orleans, La); brother Lambert Rieux Jr, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
