Obituary for Linda Shaffer Linda Qualls Shaffer, 67, of Port Orange, FL, passed away in her home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was born on December 30, 1950 in Lafayette, TN to parents John H. Qualls and Nadine Waldrond Qualls. Linda moved from Kentucky with her family in the early 1980s and Florida became her home.

She worked for Volusia County and was so happy to be working on the beach near the ocean. She is survived by her daughter Angela Sherrie, grandchildren Amber Baker, Brooke Baker and Layne Sherrie. Her great-grandson, Mason Baker had become such a blessing to her as well.

She is also survived by her sister Patricia Qualls Brooks and was loved by her nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Roy Shaffer remained good friend with Linda throughout their lives. Linda will be remembered as a bright and shining light in the community.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Linda on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Dale Woodward Funeral Home, 167 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill, FL 32117 with Minister Wiley Lowe officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Joseph’s School and The Smile Train.
