OBITUARY Linda Slay October 25, 1947 – October 16, 2018 Mrs. Linda Slay, age 70, resident of Saraland, AL, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Mrs. Slay is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Demoss Murphy and James Murphy and brother, Craig Robert Mohr. Linda was a legal secretary for 28 years and retired to spend time with her family.

She adored her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Gracie. She lived many years on Dauphin Island and loved Alabama football. Linda was a member of Destination Church in Saraland.

Her family will remember her as a devoted wife, mother and “Nanny” to her grandchildren. Mrs. Slay is survived by her husband of 47 years, Floyd L. Slay, Jr. and children; F. Leslie Slay, II (Renee Simison Slay) and Heather Leigh Slay James (Anthony Mosley). She is also survived by her sisters, Sherrill Mohr Hayes (Jim Hayes), Rebecca Mohr Holtze (James Holtze), grandchildren; Celia Eden James, William T. James, III, Taylor Sullivan Slay, Jeremi Ryan Knapp (Katie Black), Joshua L. Knapp, great-grandchildren; Peyton, Ryan, Hunter, Hannah and a host of nieces and nephews.

Private services to scatter her remains will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Destination Church Building Fund. FAMILY Floyd L.
