Memorial services for Linda Sormula, age 68 of Hideaway, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Mark Braaten officiating. Mrs. Sormula died Monday, December 24, 2018 at a hospice center in Tyler.

She was born in Rugby, North Dakota on July 29, 1950 to the late Roy “Bud” and Edna (Olson) Stohl. Mrs. Sormula moved to Hideaway in 2003. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and involved in Bible study groups and Church Quilters.

She worked as a store clerk and bookkeeper for many years. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Sormula of Hideaway; daughter, Heidi Blair and husband, Richard of Bennette, Colorado; brother, Dennis Stohl of Plymouth, Minnesota; grandson, Kylen Blair of Bennette, Colorado; and granddaughter, Shadoe Metzen of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
