Linda Wood, 79, of Florence, died June 21, 2018, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She was a member of Glendale Church of Christ. Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home from 1-2 P.M. on Sunday, June 24, 2018.

The funeral will begin at 2 P.M. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Helen Shaw and sister, Gerry Crumley.

Survivors include her spouse, Jerry Wood and according to him, she was the best thing that ever happened to him; son, Richard Baize (Patty); step-daughters, Kim Green (Mike) and Pam Wood; grandchildren, Whitney ton (Justin), Jessica Watson (Zach), Justin Flannagin (Irina), Teri Sockwell (Drew) and Chase Latham; great-grandchildren, Cole Marks, River Watson, Ty and Karlie ton, Mila and Ava Flannagin and Cheyenne and Elisa Latham. She was a loving and tender-hearted wife and will be missed greatly. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Green, Justin ton, Zach Watson, Justin Flannagin, Chase Latham and Bob Risner.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cole Marks, Ty ton, Dan Wood, and Ed White. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home.
