Raymond “Dutchie” James 92, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his residence. He was a member of First Baptist Sheffield. He was a US Navy veteran and he retired from Roadway Express.

Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from Noon -2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Brother John Powell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. Perry James; parents; Elias and Media James; sons, Terry Dewayne James and Dennis Edward James. Survivors include his sons, Rickey, Tim (Lesa) and Phillip (Shelaine); daughters, Sheila Grimes (Dale) and Donna Phillips (Randy); nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Thank you Ryan James for the help and support you gave to your paw-paw.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A special well-deserved thank you to Lesa Shelton for all you’ve done. You will never know how much we appreciate you.
