OBITUARY Linnie H. Solosky December 29, 1916 – December 13, 2018 Linnie Higgins Solosky, a resident of Fultondale, Alabama was born on December 29, 1916 and passed away peacefully at St. Martin’s in the Pines on December 13, 2018 at the age of 101. Linnie attended the Methodist church, loved to travel and to just get out and ride around, enjoying the sites. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

Linnie was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Rosa Belcher Higgins; her loving husband of over 60 years, Joe Solosky; her son, Paul Solosky; brothers, Orville Higgins, Henry E. Higgins, Sr.’ Richard “Sonny” Higgins, and Douglas “Bubba” Higgins; and a sister, Gladys “Little” Higgins. Linnie is survived by her brother, AC Higgins of Birmingham, a special cousin, Robert Rhodes of Fultondale, nieces, Cathy Higgins Notaro (Jeff) and Deborah Higgins Castleberry (Eddie); nephews, Henry E. Higgins, Jr. (Lisa), Rick Higgins (Deb), and Mike Higgins (Jennifer); numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Special thanks to the staff at Compassus Hospice Care Suites at St. Martin’s in the Pines for their loving care and support during her short stay.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00PM; funeral service at 2:00PM, followed by her entombment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Gardendale, Alabama.
