Lisa’s Obituary Lisa Leann Galle Wise was born on April 3, 1977 to Burnie and Karen Galle and left this world on February 24, 2019. She was baptized at St John Lutheran Church in New Ulm on June 5, 1977. Lisa graduated from Bellville High School in 1995, received an Associates degree from Blinn College and her Bachelor of Arts from Sam Houston State University where she earned a degree in Social Studies.
She was also certified in Elementary Education. However, it was high school students that she loved most. She taught World History for seventeen years at Bellville High School.
She was a former Cheerleader Sponsor and was currently a Student Council Advisor. On July 29, 2000, she married her Jr. High Sweetheart, William Thomas “Tommy” Wise and they had two sons Jack Wayne and Jake Michael. Lisa loved spending time with her family.
When her boys were in Boy Scouts, she was a leader and was currently leader of the Welcome 4-H Club. She loved to watch Jack be creative with his many ideas on how to fix something or build something on the farm and she loved watching Jake play baseball. One of her favorite things to do was help the boys with their 4-H projects like photography or showing lambs.
She was so proud when Jack received Grand Champion Lamb at the 2018 Austin County Fair. The Austin County Fair always had a special place in her heart. As a 4-H member, she showed pigs and entered Home Economics projects.
When she could no longer show, she was a volunteer at the fair and was currently in charge of The Children’s Tractor Pull. Lisa had a strong sense of the importance of community and was a volunteer at the local fire department fundraisers and many other community events. Church was a huge part of her life.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, in New Ulm. She was, at one time, a Sunday School Teacher and each summer a VBS volunteer. She served on church council and was at one time a lay reader, member of the choir and bell choir.
Lisa loved the outdoors. When she had time, she loved working in her yard or planting a garden with her family. Raising cattle was a huge part of her life and she enjoyed checking feeding and working cows with her family.
Photography was always a passion of hers and she loved taking pictures of her family and scenery from the many places she traveled. She loved to read, write and listen to music of many different genres. She is survived by her husband Tommy, sons Jack and Jake, father and step-mother Burnie and Pattie Galle, sister Kara and brother-in-law Matt Sodolak and niece Kenley.
Father and mother- in- law Mike and Holly Wise, brother-in-law Mark and sister-in-law Stacy, niece Taylor and nephew Eli Wise, grandmother-in-law Rose Wise. Step-sister Krysti Lilly, step-brother Graham Knight and his wife Shann and their kids Gavin and Serena. She is also survived by her Uncle Kermit Blezinger and his wife Juanita, aunt Beatrice Rinn, aunt Elaine Galle and aunt Mary Ann Eckermann and her husband Larry.
She is also survived by numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Karen Blezinger Galle, grandparents Herman and Sophie Blezinger and Hilbert and Aldean Galle. Also, grandfather and grandmother-in-law Thomas and Berniece Seiberling, grandfather-in-law Donald Wise and stepbrother-in-law Kyle Lilly.
