Lloyd Richard Rea, 86 HARTFORD CITY – Lloyd Richard Rea, 86, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home. He was born on March 27, 1932 in Hartford City to Arthur P. Rea and Velma M. (Hivley) Rea. Both of his parents preceded him in death.

Lloyd served in the United States Air Force. He married Norma Jean (Lysinger) on February 14, 1954 in Hartford City. Lloyd retired from G.M in Marion in 1995 after 26 and half years of service.

He… Read More » was a member of First Christian Church in Hartford City. He enjoyed model airplanes and radio control airplanes. He also enjoyed camping and go-cart races.

Lloyd will be sadly missed by his wife, Norma Jean Rea of Hartford City; sons, Lloyd R. “Rick” Rea Jr. of Hartford City and James Douglas “Doug” (wife, Tammy) Rea of Hartford City; daughter, Linda Lee “Lyn” (husband, Michael) Bennett of Winchester; grandchildren, Jeremy (wife, Becca) Bennett, Brock Douglas Rea, Kari (husband, Scott) Thies, Lloyd Richard Rea III, Braun (husband, Heather) Winchester and Logan Rea; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Madelyn Futrell of Hartford City, brother, Shirley D. (wife, Betty) Rea of Florida; several nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by sister, Bertha Pattison, infant brother, James Rea, brothers, Charles Rea, Clayton J. Rea, Harold F. Rea and Robert W. Rea. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City.

Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
