Lloyd Windham Dowdy, 85, passed away at his home in Millington, TN on March 2, 2019. Mr. Dowdy was a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of Broadmore Baptist Church in Memphis and a huge University of Memphis Basketball fan. He was also a member the National Autumn Leaf Collecting Club as well as the Alladin Knights.

Mr. Dowdy was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Jasmine M. Dowdy and one sister Mabel Waggens. Left to honor and cherish his memory is his son, Chris (Carol) Dowdy; friend, Pat Faulkner of St Louis, MO and a special “daughter” caregiver Paula Ann Harper of Millington, TN. He was blessed with 5grandchildren; Chris L. Dowdy, Jr., Cade Monat, Johnathon Burkhardt, Shaun Glessing and Hunter Johnson, 1 great grandchild, Hope Nicole Glessing.

Visitation with his family will be on Thursday, March 7, 2019 12:30-2:00 pm with his service following at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East on Whitten Rd. In lieu of flowers the family request any memorial donations be made to Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.
