Lois M. Burke Grabiak, 91 of Scottdale, died early Tuesday morning December 25, 2018, at her residence, in the presence of her loving family. She was born August 16, 1927 in Owensdale, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Annabelle Canose Burke. Lois was a longtime and faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale.
She was also a member of the Funeral Choir in the church for several years. Lois was a graduate of the former Scottdale Joint High School. Prior to raising a family, she was employed as an operator for Bell Telephone Company, before becoming a homemaker to raise her children.
Lois was a Poll Worker for the Third Ward, Scottdale for many years and for a number of years she was the committee woman for the Democratic party. She also enjoyed vacationing on cruises and bus trips with her close friends. Lois was an avid animal lover and enjoyed an occasional bottle of wine with her family.
