Lorece L. Arnett Lorece L. Arnett, 87, of Geneseo, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Geneseo. Pastor Laura Kamprath will officiate.

Burial will be at Mt. Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Church. Vandemore Funeral Home & Crematory, Geneseo, is assisting the family with these arrangements. Lorece was born on July 29, 1931, the daughter of Howard and Emma (Melton) Hall, in Monmouth, Illinois.

She graduated from Galesburg High School with the class of 1949. Lorece was united in marriage to Robert Arnett on April 8, 1950, in Wataga, Illinois. Robert preceded her in death in February 2, 2015.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Geneseo. Lorece was a mother and homemaker and enjoyed baking cookies and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Denny Arnett, of Moline, Gary Arnett, of Lake Wales, FL, and Tim (Rebecca) Arnett, of Geneseo; grandchildren, Jeff Arnett, Jennifer (Scott) Daniel, Ben Arnett, Bryan Arnett, and Flynn Arnett, great-grandchildren, Skylla, Brady, Rose, and Mystique, and one great-great-grandson, Ryland.

Lorece is also survived by her sisters, Mary Stanley and Virginia Rinehart, both of Galesburg. Lorece was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Emma, husband, Robert, one grandson, Ray Malone, and daughter-in-law, Linda Arnett. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Compassus and their staff, for the exceptional love and care they provided during Lorece’s final days.
