Obituary for Loren E. “Lonnie” Divelbliss Loren E. “Lonnie” Divelbliss, 59, of Mercersburg, departed this life on the afternoon of February 5, 2019, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1959, in Paw Paw, WV, a son of the late William L. and Effie Mae Weller Divelbliss. Lonnie married Mabel Virginia Schriever on September 3, 1986, in Hagerstown, MD.

Lonnie worked as a truck driver for Waste Management for twenty-three years. In his younger years, he liked to go hunting. In more recent years, he enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden and hanging out with his pet turkey, Peety.

Lonnie loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of thirty-two years, Mabel; he is survived by three sons, Eugene (Elizabeth) Divelbliss of Mt. Union, Branden (Destiny) Divelbliss of Waynesboro, and Cody Divelbliss of Mercersburg; six grandchildren, Lucas, Chase, Levi, Lauren, Lillian, and Miracle; three brothers; six sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements. There will be no public viewing or visitation.

A service may be held in his honor at a future date and time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the M.M.P. & W. Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Co., at 132 North Main St. Mercersburg, PA 17236.
