Lorene Watson Chaffins, age 60, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2018 with her daughter by her side. She worked as a manager for Payless Shoe Store for many years, and in retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Toot” Chaffins; and parents, John C. and Mary Hazel Watson.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and David McGlone; sons, John P. and Darrell Borders; six grandchildren, Courtney Hickey, Carly and John Borders, Jr., and Kyle, Heather, and Amy McGlone; two great-grandchildren, Carl Walker and Khaleesi Hickey; sister, Rosie Sanders; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Beth Watson; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Hamilton Township Rec Center, 6400 Lockbourne Road. In lieu of flowers, please bring donations of pet food and toys to the Celebration of Life so that her grandchildren can make a donation on her behalf to the Franklin County Dog Shelter, as Lorene loved her four-legged family members.
