Loretta Hinze February 05, 1939 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Loretta Hinze, age 79, of Janesville, died peacefully Sunday morning, December 23, 2018, at Hillcrest Care Center in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2018, at Starkson & Steffel Funeral & Cremation Service ~ Arnoldt Chapel of Janesville. Private family services will be held on a later date with burial in Alma City Cemetery.

www. janesvillefuneral.com Loretta Elsie was born on February 5, 1939, to Lester and Elsie (Metzler) Rux in Alma City. She attended grade school in Waldorf before attending Janesville High School, graduating with the class of 1957.

Following her education, she began working for Brown Printing in Waseca. On June 12, 1959, Loretta was united in marriage to Kenneth Hinze at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Together they made their home in Janesville and raised five children.

Loretta was not only a mother to her children but to many others by providing daycare in the community for many years. In 1988, she began working at MGM in Mankato where she worked until retirement. Loretta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville.

She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and later traveling to her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Loretta is remembered as a remarkable cook. Above all else her family was most important to Loretta.

She will be dearly missed. Loretta is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Janesville; children: Kenda (Dale) Bruflodt of Elko, Trinette (Troy) Risting of Eagle Lake, Darin (Jodi) of Janesville and Travis (Trisha) of Lakeville; daughter-in-law, Pam Hinze of Montgomery; 11 grandchildren: Tyler and Nathan Bruflodt, Collin and Mattea Risting, Hunter and Ryan Hinze, Kayli and Brooklin Hinze, Payton, Braylee and Hudson Hinze; brother, Loren Rux of Janesville; six nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry; and sister-in-law, Jan Rux.
