Loretta J. Groome, 82, of Union Beach, NJ passed away Sunday, March 10th, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was the widow of James Groome. Loretta was born in Jersey City, NJ on May 24, 1936, a daughter of the late Loretta (Hayes) and Michael O’Brien.

She was the owner and kitchen operator with James of Up The Creek Tavern, Keyport. Loretta loved to spend time with her family, loved bingo, knitting and sewing. Loretta is also predeceased by her sons Chet and Michael Quattlebaum, her daughter Terry Stultz, brother Michael O’Brien and sister Betty Muro.

Loretta is survived by daughter, Betty Ann Fetta, son,John Quattlebaum, daughter Donna Quattlebaum, and sons Harold and Thomas Smith. Loretta is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 13, 2019 from 4-8pm at Day Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 14th at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey . Entombment will be held at Holmdel Mausoleum, NJ.
