OBITUARY Lorraine Orebaugh (Knight) Boone March 30, 1935 – October 1, 2018 Lorraine Orebaugh Boone, 83, a resident of Harrisonburg passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1935 in Fulks Run and was the daughter of the late Jack and Cliffie Caldwell Knight. Lorraine operated a private nursing home in her home and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

She was a doll collector and enjoyed gardening and canning. In 2002, she married Robert “Bob” Leon Boone, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Debra K. Eye and husband, Roger L., Sr. of Hinton, Brenda L. Orebaugh of Dayton, Evie K. Ahles and fiancé, Jason Pence of Linville, Kathy S. Dean, of Clover Hill, Barbara E. Orebaugh of Harrisonburg, Loretta Freeze and fiancé, Burt Blosser of Elkton; a special grandson who she raised in her home, Travis Eugene Orebaugh and thirteen other grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Rev.

Laney Knight and wife, Helen; special nieces and nephews; and her dog, Molly. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald David Orebaugh; a daughter, Linda Jean Orebaugh; brothers, Ralph, Ted and Paul Knight; sisters, Gladys Knight and Thelma Brooks. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. J. B. Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at Mt.

Clinton Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sentara RMH Hospice, RMH Foundation, 2010 Health Campus Dr., Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
