Obituary of Lorraine Palmer Lorraine Ethel Palmer, 93, formerly of Perrineville, NJ, died on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her Pocomoke City home. Born on October 4, 1925 in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Douglas and Pauline McOwen. She moved to Pocomoke City in 2004 in order to be near her family.

Lorraine worked as a teacher’s aide for preschoolers for 25 years, retiring in 2003. She loved quilting, sewing, crafts and bingo. She is survived by her son, Todd Palmer and his wife Christine of Pocomoke City, MD; a daughter, Beverly Banister and her husband Marc, of Dawsonville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Charles, Michael, Branden, Ashley, Nicholas and Jason; and many extended family members.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Palmer; three sisters and two brothers. A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Pitts Creek Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, 208 Market Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851. Interment, beside her husband, will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
