Ludell Armstrong Moran, 85, of Bardstown, passed away Friday December 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 31, 1933, a graduate of Stratton Business College, an avid quilter, enjoyed puzzles, gardening, canning, entering her flowers, antiques, baked and canned goods in the county fair, and homemaker activities. She played piano and organ by hobby as well as for Millcreek Baptist Church and sang in the Bloomfield Tree of Life.

She was devoted to her family, church, and lifetime farming partner, with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmie” Bell Moran; parents, Silas and Josephine Armstrong; brother, Harold Armstrong; and niece, Mary Moran Bowman. She is survived by her sons, James “Jimmie” Dell Moran (Linda) of Bloomfield, and David Lee Moran of Bardstown; three grandchildren, Tyler Moran of Bloomfield, David Edward Moran (Andrea) and Katrina Ballard (Pat) both of Bardstown; three great-grandchildren, David Caleb Moran, Ethan Ballard, and Aiden Ballard; two brothers, Joe Armstrong (Elaine) and Tommy Armstrong both of Bloomfield; sister, Nancy Snider Caggiano (Gary) of Phoenix, Arizona; and many beloved nieces and nephews; Jonathan Snider (Donna), Lorraine Scorza (Jim), Steve Armstrong (Sarah), Joanna Watercutter (John), Annette Wimsett (Raffo), Mary Lou Williams, Willie Armstrong (Ann), Kenny Armstrong, Sandy Hicks (John Wayne), and Cathy Bowman.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday January 2, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield. Pastor Danny Haynes will officiate. Visitation will be 3 – 8 pm Tuesday January 1 and 9 – 11 am Wednesday January 2 at Barlow Funeral Home.
