In Loving Memory of Lynette Faye Engbarth Lynette Engbarth was born on December 15, 1961 in Worthington, MN to Stanley Alvin and Stephena Mae Granstra Van Iperen. She grew up in Ochecyedan, IA until 1967 when the family moved to a farm near Lake Wilson, MN. Lynette graduated from Chandler-Lake Wilson High School in 1980.
On July 16, 1983 she and Mark Engbarth were married at St. Martin Church in Woodstock, MN. Following their marriage they farmed together near Holland, MN and Lynette also worked for Pipestone Home Health. In 1990 they moved to Lake Wilson where Lynette worked for Huisken Meats in Chandler, MN and later ran a in home daycare.
In 1995 Lynette attended Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Worthington, MN receiving her RN Degree. In 1995 she also started working at the Pipestone Good Samaritan Center in Pipestone, MN. Later becoming the Director of Nursing there.
In 2005 Lynette started working for Murray County Hospice in Slayton, MN. In 2007 she returned to Pipestone Good Samaritan and in 2009 she went to work at Edgebrook Nursing Home in Edgerton, MN where she was currently working as the Assistant Director of Nursing as well as the MDS coordinator. Lynette had a passion for nursing and loved helping others!
On September 19, 2018 Lynette moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton where she passed away on October 1, 2018 at the age of 56. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN. Lynette enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Engbarth of Lake Wilson, MN, two children, Marcus Engbarth and Samantha Ahschlager of Hadley, MN, and Kelsey and Cody Sturges of Lake Wilson, MN, three grandchildren, Marin Engbarth, Carter Sturges and Avery Sturges, her parents, Stanley and Stephena Van Iperen of Lake Wilson, MN, eight brothers and sisters and their spouses, Lucinda and Don Vogel of Chandler, MN, Jerry Van Iperen of Edgerton, MN, Steve Van Iperen of Slayton, MN, Orv Van Iperen and Sue Gustaf of Lake Wilson, MN, Don and Mary Van Iperen of Lake Wilson, MN, Lisa and Lennie Carlson of Lake Wilson, MN, Stan Jr. and Sheila Van Iperen of Slayton, MN, and Justin and Jess Van Iperen of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon and Arden Nelson of MN, Connie Price of MN, Jack and Faye Engbarth of NC, Bill and Carolyn Engbarth of CA, Pat and Cindy Engbarth of MN, Mary Dekam of TN, and Alfred “Butch” and Karen Engbarth of TX, and many nieces and nephews and their families. She is preceded in death by sister-in-law, Teresa Van Iperen, father and mother-in-law, John and Georgieann Engbarth, brother-in-law, Michael Engbarth, two sisters-in-law, Marlis and her husband, Vernie Tiedeman and Vicki Engbarth, four nephews, Chad Nelson, Jason Tiedeman, Johnny Engbarth and Billy Engbarth, and one great nephew, Carter Engbarth. Funeral Home Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson, MN, on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:30 am.
with Rev. Vicki Hultine officiating. The organist is Darlene Bose with special music by Heidi Winter.
The pallbearers are Marcus Engbarth, Jerry Van Iperen, Steve Van Iperen, Orvi Van Iperen, Don Van Iperen, Stan Jr. Van Iperen, Justin Van Iperen, Brad Engbarth, Lennie Carlson, Jeff Tiedeman and Don Vogel. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson from 4-7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
