Lynn Humphrey Ellis, 65, of Moline, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, in Jamaica while on vacation with her husband. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until Noon, Friday, February 22, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Niabi Zoo. Lynn was born on July 13, 1953, in Moline, the daughter of Dwight J. and Darlene “Putsy” (Iggstrom) Humphrey.

She graduated from Moline High School, class of 71 and went on to graduate from the University of Illinois. She married James O. Ellis, on May 28, 1983, at First Congregational Church, Moline. Lynn previously worked at International Harvester and Montgomery Elevators until the birth of her first child.

Lynn was an avid volunteer in the community. She had a weekly schedule for decades dedicated to Niabi Zoo, Logan Elementary, the Moline Public Library and WQAD Call for Action. She also enjoyed weekly golf in her 9-hole women’s leagues at Indian Bluff and Saukie.

Survivors include her husband; children, Meredith (Cory) Foreman, Marion, IA, Olivia Ellis, Moline, and Evan (Stacy) Ellis, Rock Island; grandchildren, Norah, Elise and Warner; brother, Reid Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
