Mrs. Mable Ann “Annie” (Travis) Barber, age 85, of Temple passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019. She was born in St. Joseph, Kentucky on Tuesday, May 9, 1933. Mrs. Barber was the daughter of the late, Charles Travis and the late, Mable (Grant) Travis.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Barber is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Barber; two sons, Robert Michael McGill and Dan McGill; and her daughter, Teresa McGill. Survivors include her son James McGill of Kentucky; three grandchildren, Donald McGill, Jr., Rachel Crill and Ryan McGill; her niece, Jill Tholl of Temple and a number of other relatives. Mrs. Barber attended the First Baptist Church of Temple and was active in the Temple Senior Center.

In accordance with Mrs. Barber’s wishes, she will be cremated. Messages of condolence can be made to the family by signing the online guestbook. Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Temple.
