Mae D. Cooper, 93, of Masonic Villages, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Born in Milton Grove, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Dupler) Kauffman. Mae was the wife of the late Harry E. Cooper Jr. who passed away on November 24, 2011.

Mae retired from AMP, Inc. as a packer after 34 years of service. At work she was known as the “coffee lady” as she always had a hot pot on. Mae was a member of Mount Joy Church of God where she prepared meals of COGS and covered books for the library.

She was also a member of the Red Rose Snow Mobile Club and volunteered at the voting polls. Mae enjoyed puzzles, baking and most of all spending time with her family. Mae is survived by three brothers, Jay Kauffman, husband of Peggy of Manheim, John Kauffman Jr. of Mount Joy and Rosco Kauffman, husband of Kay of Clearfield County; four sisters, Vera Arndt of Manheim, Loraine Ginder of Elizabethtown, Velva Heisey of Elizabethtown and Rosalie Mayers, wife of Donald of Maytown; and several nieces and nephews whom she treated like they were her own.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Ralph Kauffman; and four sisters, Sadie Dupler, Pauline Dohner, Romaine Seitz and Violet Dohner. A funeral service honoring Mae’s life will be held at the Mount Joy Church of God, 30 East Main Street, Mount Joy, on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the church before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Milton Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Joy Church of God, 30 East Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552 or Masonic Villages Hospice, 98 Masonic Drive, Suite 101, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
