Marie E. Hazel, 84, of Masonic Villages, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Shearon) King. Marie was the wife of the late Earl E. Hazel Sr. who passed away on September 17, 2009.

Marie’s light shone brightly for all who knew her, but true to her Philly roots, she would clap back when necessary. Marie’s heart was full of love and she had the wonderful ability to find joy in the little things in life. In their retirement, her Elizabethtown home was like Vegas (what happens at Mom Mom’s…) for her grandkids.

She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, watching Star Wars, building forts, and other shenanigans. Marie is survived by a son, Earl E. Hazel Jr., husband of Mary McElroy of Columbia; three grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Vasta of Philadelphia; and two brothers, Charles King of Delaware and William King, husband of Barbara of Philadelphia. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
