Warren R. Mowery, 81, formerly of Salunga, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Millersville, he was the son of the late Clarence and Esther (Platt) Mowery. Warren was the husband of the late Julia (Mimm) Mowery who passed away on May 15, 2019.

Warren retired from National Bearings Company in Lancaster after 37 years of service. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Warren was a member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren and the Fairview Tavern Darts Team.

Surviving are two sons, Warren R. Mowery Jr., husband of Carol of Mechanicsburg and Robert J. Mowery, husband of Barbara of Manheim; a stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Shelton, wife of Kenneth of Columbia; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service honoring Warren’s life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc. 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Hershey Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
