Manuel’s Obituary Manuel Salvador Cañete Advincula, 85, husband of Elizabeth Laurel Garcia, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 on the Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux. Manuel was born on November 12, 1932 in Cebu City, Philippines, the son of Federico and Sofia Advincula. He graduated with a BS in Commerce at Far Eastern University and MS in Statistics from University of the Philippines.

He was a Certified Public Accountant. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elizabeth. He will be missed by his four loving daughters Maria, Elizabeth, Jay and Carmela; son-in-laws Nap (deceased), Luis, Carlton and Rick; treasured by his nine grandchildren Krizteen & husband Hector, Beverly & husband Mike, Napoleon & wife Vanessa, Mary, Francis Manuel, Amalia, Matthew Manuel, Elizabeth, and Nicholas; and six great grandchildren Martin, Marcus, Mikaela, Savannah, Ariella, and Michael Manuel.

He was a member of the Order of the Discalced Carmelites NYC, Holy Family Prayer Group and Our Lady of Peace Prayer Community. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at Holy Family Church in Queens, NY. Manuel is an avid reader, a self-taught guitar player, a cowboy movie enthusiast and will be remembered for his love of music and storytelling.

Funeral Saturday 10:00 am from Kohler Funeral Home 280 Hackensack St. Wood-Ridge. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30am Assumption R.C Ch. Wood-Ridge.

Internment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Friday 3-5 & 7-9PM. Donations can be given to the Wood-Ridge Fire & Ambulance Corp.
