Obituary for Mrs. Marcia “Marsha” Smith Davenport Marcia “Marsha” Smith Davenport 72, of Pascagoula, MS passed away on Saturday November 17,2018 at her home. She was born on February 1,1946 in Beaumont, MS to Charlie and Maggie Smith. She graduated from Beaumont High School from there she went on the further her education at Jones County Jr College and Delta State University.

She then enrolled at USM and earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education and began her career in teaching. She was a very headstrong lady but was a friendly person to everyone. She also did catering and marriage arranging for her friends and family.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son Shea Davenport, her brother Sonny Smith, her sisters Bonnie Jo Smith Cunningham and Imogene Carroll. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Greg Davenport, her brothers Alex Smith,and Colonel Robert “Bobby” Smith her niece/daughter Jaymie Williams, and four grandchildren Sage Davenport, Ryder Davenport, Asher Davenport, Lilith Williams. She will also be sadly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, and especially the coaches and baseball players at Davenport Field.

The family will accept visitors Saturday November 24,2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home at 4007 Main Street Moss Point, MS.
