Marcus W. Nelsen, 35, of Red Bank, lost his battle with addiction on Friday October 5, 2018, and passed away unexpectedly at home. Marcus was predeceased by his maternal Grandparents William Sheehan and Winifred M. (Lynch) Sheehan and his paternal grandmother Diane Daniels. He is survived by his parents Kathleen (Sheehan) Stiles and Kerry M. Nelsen; his step-father John Stiles; step-mother Tammy Nelsen; fiancé Kristine Marvel; his daughter Evelyn Nelsen and a baby-to-be Graelyn Rose Nelsen.

Marcus also leaves behind siblings Michael Nelsen and Kira Young and her son Daxton, as well as several step sisters and brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles. Marcus was an HVAC Technician working for Chesterfield Electric and HVAC. He was a man with many aspirations, an awesome musician, loved to read, brilliant, passionate, loving, very opinionated, strong-willed, and tough exterior but tender heart….

Marcus was truly a sensitive soul! At the request of his family, Marcus will be privately cremated. Day Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Marcus.

A memorial visitation will be held for Marcus on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 3PM to 7PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735. A funeral service will be held during the memorial visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to www.
