Richard “Richie” M. Murray, 65, of Parlin, NJ passed away Monday, September 24th, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick after a five year long and courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born in Newark, NJ on June 24, 1953. He grew up in Irvington, NJ and moved to Parlin 31 years ago.

He was a long time warehouse employee for Baxter Liquor Warehouse and later Allied Beverage in Carlstadt, NJ. Richard was a past member and shop steward of Local 1D in Brooklyn, NY. He loved his Atlantic City and the NY Yankees.

Richard is predeceased by his parents Daniel and Dorothy Murray and his father and mother in law Donald and Julie Walling. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Walling, his sister Kate and her husband Ed Connolly and loving brother Daniel Kevin and his wife Fran Murray. Richard also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Viewing will be held 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, September 27th at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey . Public Viewing will be held on Friday, September 28th, 9:15AM at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey followed by a 10AM mass of Christian burial at St.Joseph’s RCC. Cremation will be private.
