OBITUARY Margaret A Boerger September 26, 1942 – October 3, 2018 MARGARET ANN BOERGER, 76, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at Georgetown Place. Born Sept.

26, 1942 in Decatur, she was a daughter of Otto L. and Emma (Schumm) Boerger. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Monmouth High School and completed an R.N. degree from Parkview Methodist School of Nursing and B.S in Nursing from Indiana University. She retired in 2013 after 23 years as Medical Director of Crossroad Child & Family Services.

She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and a devoted supporter of the arts community, serving on Heartland Sings and other boards and volunteering at First Presbyterian Theater. She loved travel, walks on the Carolina coast beach and sharing good cuisine with her family. She was much beloved and will be greatly missed by brother John (Trish Anderson) Boerger and sister Angela (Jeff Strayer) Boerger of Fort Wayne; niece, Eliza (Clay) Claborn; grandnephew, Henry, and grandniece, Emma of Carmel, Ind.

; and niece, Caitlin (Jesse Maier) Boerger-McCray of Lexington, Ky. , as well as many friends. No calling or services.

Cremation by D.O. McComb & Sons, interment with parents at St. Peter Fuelling Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church Theater, Heartland Sings or donor’s choice. To leave an online condolence visit www.
