Margaret “Peg” Glagola, 93, of Butler, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at her home. Born April 4, 1925 in Allison, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Mucha and Sophia (Hudivok) Mucha. Peg was a graduate from Masontown High School, she then joined the Cadet Nurse Corp and graduated from Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing class of 1947.

She had worked at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, was an office Nurse in Park Avenue New York and had retired from Sunnyview as a night supervisor, having touched countless lives with love, faith and compassion. She treasured her time with family sharing memories.

She was an active member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, serving 25 years as an officer of the Sisterhood and also was a member of the Church council and choir. Surviving are her 3 sons: Paul N. “Nick” Glagola of Red Lion, Pa; Mark E. Glagola of Dallas, TX; Charles J. (Roxanne) Glagola of Butler. 1 daughter, Susan (Jeff) Campbell of Butler.

4 grandchildren: Justin Glagola, Ryan Glagola, Marisa (Van) Campbell-Chew and Jordan Campbell. 1 great grandson, Ayden Glagola. 2 sisters: Ann Patrick of New Jersey and Sophia Krill of Katy, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Glagola, whom she married July 12, 1952, he died June 23, 2008; also 3 sisters, Mary Stretton, Helen Wallace and Julia Minchik; 1 brother, Lt Col Daniel Mucha. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Avenue in Lyndora. Funeral Services will then be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church.

The Rev. Keith Lowe, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery, Butler.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations me be made to St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 201 Penn Avenue, Lyndora, PA 16045. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home in Butler.
