Obituary of Margaret DiSilvestro Mrs. Margaret A. DiSilvestro Port Jervis, NY Mrs. Margaret A. DiSilvestro of Port Jervis, NY passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Westchester County Medical Center with her family by her side. She was 85. She was born August 17, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late James Devereux and the late Helen McDonald Devereux.

Margaret married Arnold DiSilvestro August 2, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY he passed away in 1992. Margaret worked as a Teacher for 24 years for the Eldred Central School District, Eldred, NY. She was a member of the NYS Teachers Assoc.

; DKG – Delta Kappa Gamma, Womens’ International Teachers Assoc. ; the Friends of the Port Jervis Library and she was a member of Mensa. A family statement read: She was a wonderful mother and good friend to many and loved by her family.

Surviving are: Son: Robert DiSilvestro and his wife, Janet Dublin, OH Daughter: Doreen Vorce and her husband, William J. Somerset, NJ 2 Grandchildren: Daniel DiSilvestro & Lisa DiSilvestro Granddaughter-in-law: Oliva DiSilvestro Great Grandchildren: Dante and Adrian DiSilvestro Also several nieces and nephews 1 predeceased Brother: James Devereux 2 predeceased Sisters: Jeanne Augustine and Helen Devereux 1 predeceased grandson: David DiSilvestro Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 with a 9:15am prayer at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 46 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY with Rev. Matthew Newcomb officiating. A burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis, NY.
