Margery Zamzow, 92, lifelong resident of Grand Island, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Lincoln. Services will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church of Grand Island. Celebrant will be Fr.

Robert Lewis. Family will greet friends an hour prior. Private burial will precede the service at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. A native of St. Paul, Neb, Mrs. Zamzow was born June 13, 1926 to Charles and Mary Evelyn (Stewart) Kiechel. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal, and was, for many years, a member of the Altar Guild and many other church functions.

Margery spent much of her life caring for others – relatives, friends and residents of the various senior care facilities where she volunteered for many years. In addition to her nursing home volunteer work, she was a member of organizations dedicated to the preservation of history and the support of museums. She held memberships in the St. Martha’s Guild of St. Stephen’s Church and the Prairie Fiber Weavers Guild in Hastings at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldene Eugene Zamzow. Survivors include nephews and nieces Michael and Susan Kiechel of Columbus GA, Frank and Polly Partsch of Omaha, Dorinda Partsch and friend Norman A. Breault of Chesterton IN, Nick Partsch and Diane Rolfsmeyer of Lincoln NE, and Laura Partsch of Espanola NM; grandnephews and grandnieces Christopher and Susan Kiechel, Donovan and Sharon Kiechel, Erich and Renee Partsch, David and Tammy Partsch, Catherine and Matt Conlan and Sarah and Dan Gilbert, great-grandnephews and great grandnieces. Special people include Jim, Kathy and Ben Lahowetz of Gilbert AZ, and Patti (Lahowetz) Nelson of Kearney, NE.
