Margie Elizabeth Williamson Smith, 95, passed away from this life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She is in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Margie was the second of seven children born to Needham E. and Paulina Tarpley Williamson of Johnston County.

On December 29, 1940, Margie married the late H. Battle Smith from Archer Lodge. They became the parents of William E. Smith (Ann) from Zebulon and Elizabeth S. Grant (Charles) of Wake Forest. Margie is survived by her children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren: Melodie Smith and son, Brayden, Christi S. Norton (John) and children: Bradley and Summer; Charlie Grant (M.E.) and son, Charlie III; Tyson G. Brock (Dana) and children: Grant and Morgan Elizabeth; sister, Addie W. Radford (John) of Clayton and brother, Sam Williamson (Betty) of Wendell.

A celebration of life will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Sanctuary at 5:00 pm, Friday, April 27, 2018. In her honor, we will have an old fashion gospel singing, as we all know she loved singing and piano music. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 13450 NC-96, Zebulon, 27597.
