Funeral services for Margie Ellen Postier, 76 of Enid, will be Monday, April 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margie was born on August 17, 1942 in Enid to Arthur and Laura Schweer Heim and died on March 29, 2019 in Enid. She grew up in Fairmont and attended Zion Lutheran School through the eighth grade. Margie graduated from Garber High School in 1960.

On February 11, 1961, she married John Postier in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber. They made their home in Enid, then Edmond before returning to Enid. Margie began her career as the secretary for the Garfield County Commissioners in 1973, retiring after 34 years of service.

She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Seasoned Saints, ladies auxiliary, and serving funeral dinners. Margie loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Twila Mae Sohl, son, Michael.

She is survived by her husband, John of the home; three daughters and their husbands, Lori and Darin Pendleton of Edmond, Melissa and Ron Mainord of Fairview, Melinda and Dwayne McCormick of Ponca City; daughter-in-law, Deirdre Postier of Enid; 8 grandchildren, Kayla (Chad), Nicole, Carter, Claren, Riley, Caden, Madison; one brother and his wife, Kenneth and Eva Heim of Tulsa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
