Margie was born in Scott County, VA on May 4, 1936 to the late Rufus and Emma Jane Baker Calton. In addition to her parents; her husband, Jack Hicks; sisters, Margaret Ann Calton, Jean Dorton; brothers, William Fields, Norman Calton and nephew, Michael Brad Calton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Henson, Gate City, VA, Michael Henson, Gate City, VA; brothers, Doyle Calton, Gate City, VA, Corbin Calton, Kingsport, TN, Robert Calton, Gate City, VA; granddaughters, Missy Henson, Emma Henson; step granddaughter, Brandi Fields; 3 great granddaughters, Nevaeh Dawn Bates, Caitlin Makenzie Henson, Margie Elizabeth Henson; 3 great grandsons, Keith Alexander Henson, Michael J.P. Camlo, Kylynn Phipps; along with several nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2019at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel.
