Margie Iona Woodell Moody, 72, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tom Robertson officiating.

Burial will follow at Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC on September 14, 1946, Mrs. Moody was the daughter of the late William Gurney Woodell and Velta Hill Woodell. She was a homemaker and a member of Charlotte United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Group. She is survived by her Husband, Ken Moody of the home; step daughters, Lisa Moody, Kelly Fesperman and husband Keith, all of Thomasville; son, Tommy Joyce Jr. and wife Joann of Richlands, Va. ; grandchildren, Daisy Fesperman, Judy Hale and husband Jason, Matthew Joyce and husband Jeremy, Quentin Joyce; great grandchildren, Kaci Hale, Haydyn Hale, Whitney Joyce, William Joyce; special friend, Richard Garner; faithful companion “Little Man”.

The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Mose Cone Memorial Hospital – ICU Unit, and Family of the Heart at Randolph County Senior Adults Association. Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters, 6520 N. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132.
