OBITUARY Maria Barrera November 23, 1922 – October 15, 2018 Maria Barrera, age 95, of Big Lake, Texas passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018. Maria was born November 23, 1922 in Mexico to Anita Barrientos Castro and Tomas Castro. Maria enjoyed gardening and was always very involved in church.

Maria is survived by; daughter Yolanda Ramirez; son Rogelio Barrera; daughter Rosa Flores; daughter Connie Levario; and son Joe Barrera; sister Julia Castro and sister Felipa Castro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jose Barrera and son Jose Angel Barrera.

A rosary for Maria will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Margaret of Cortana in Big Lake with burial to follow at Glenrest Cemetery in Big Lake. The family would like to send a special thanks to the Reagan County Care Center for their loving care of Maria.
