OBITUARY Maria Buzzanca Steele January 29, 1938 – July 14, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Maria Buzzanca Steele was born on January 29, 1938 and peacefully passed away on July 14, 2018. She was born in Birmingham Alabama to Joseph Ross Buzzanca and Theda DeCarla Buzzanca. Her parents, brother and sister-in -law, Ross Joseph & Joan Nix Buzzanca proceeded her in death.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter in law Michael Wayne & Susette Steele; one granddaughter, Rachel Corona. She also leaves behind her adoring nieces and nephew, Lisa Buzzanca Johnson, Sharon Maria Buzzanca, Joseph Ross Buzzanca, and Rosemary Buzzanca Kohrig; seven great nieces and nephews and eight great- great nieces and nephews who loved to visit Aunt Maria and bring her treats. Maria was a hard worker and retired from Western Electric/Lucent/Avaya in 2004 after 30+ years of service.

She really loved her family, friends and most importantly loved God. Getting to Heaven was her ultimate goal in life! If there was a phrase that describe Sweet Maria it would be INCREDIBLY COMPASSIONATE.

She loved to cook, really enjoyed eating, especially El Chico’s, grocery shopping was her favorite pastime and loved country music. The family would especially like to thank all the aids, nurses and staff that cared for her while she lived at Live Oaks. She loved y’all dearly!

We are also thankful for the staff that is associated with Hospice for taking such wonderful care of her during the past few months. Visitation will be at 1:30 on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport Louisiana with services starting at 2:00 pm. Grave side services will immediately follow.
