Rio Grande City, Texas Maria Clara Trevino, born and raised in Rio Grande City, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Starr County Hospital in Rio Grande City. Maria was 60 years old. She was the daughter of Trinidad + and Zenaida (Martinez) Hernandez.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to travel, to clean, and she enjoyed arts and crafts. Maria loved caring for her grandchildren especially Kayla and Kaylee.

Maria enjoyed her life to the fullest. Maria was preceded in death by her father, Left to cherish her memory is her husband- Mr Eleazar Trevino; Her family and extended family- Erica Marie Trevino, Jessica Trevino, Jacqueline Trevino-Soto, Aleida Marroquin, Eleazar Trevino Jr., Araceli Trevino, Eduardo Trevino, Sabas Trevino; Maria Del Rosario Wallace, Rosa Maria Martinez, Dolores Flores, Jose Luis Hernandez, Javier Hernandez; Kayla Idani Sanchez, Kaylee Ariana Reyes, Christian Villarreal, Caleb Villarreal, Alondra Trevino and GIZMO. A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan, in McAllen from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Juan Nicolau officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
