Alton, Texas Jaime Ariel Martinez,54, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the McAllen Medical Center. Jaime was 54 years old. Jaime was born on December 13, 1964 in Reynosa, Mexico to Jose Guadalupe Martinez Reyes and Maria De Los Angeles Serrata Lozano.

In his youth Jaime was a professional wrestler in Monterrey,Mexico under the name “El Relampago” Jaime loved being with family. He loved life to its fullest. Jaime was preceded in death by his parents.

Jaime is survived by his wife- Tomasita Villarreal Vargas; two sons- Jaime A (Irene Godinez) Martinez and Bigey Martinez; Siblings- Omar Martinez and Omar Martinez, Diana Martinez, Edna Martinez; nieces and nephews survive him as well. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home 1901 Pecan from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Rivera Funeral Home at 9:30 AM.

Interment will follow to L and I Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
